General Average per York-Antwerp Rules, 1924. The Shippers and Consignees of Cargo, by accepting this Bill of Lading, expressly waive and renounce Article 700 of the Dutch Commercial Code, and agree to contribute their proportion of general average, including damages and expenses and allowances to the Steamer, even if these have been caused by the inherent vice of the Steamer by its useaworthiness, or by the fault or neglect of the Commander or the Crew. Double freight, together with all costs of re-weighing or measuring, will be charged on all goods incorrectly described, either as to contents weight, or quantity. IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED that the carriers shall not be liable for loss or damage or delay accasioned by the Act of God, Enemies, Pirates, Robbers, Thieves (including Theft and Pilferage by anyone on board or by seizure employed on board or ashore in the service of the Carriers or their Agents), Barratry of Master or Mariners, Restraints of Princes, Rulers of People, Capture, Seizure or Detention, War or warlike operations, or the consequences thereof, Civil or Political Disturbances, Riots, Strikes, Stoppage of Labour Lock-outs or Labour Disputes or Disturbances or the consequences thereof, or anything done in contemplation or furtherance thereof (whether the Carriers or their Agents be parties thereto or not), Vermin, Heat of Holds Fire, Sweating, Leakage, Breakage, Bending, Rust, Stains, Insufficiency of Packages, Dirty or Defective Bags, Decay, Frost, Ice, Thaw, Rain Hall, Sleet, Snow, Spray, Flood, Jettison, Use of Hooks, Stowage, Stowage, Contact with or Smell or Evaporation from any other Goods, Inaccuracies, Obliterations, or Similarity, or Alterations, or Absence of Marks, Numbers, Addresses or Description of Goods, Injury to Wrappers, Loading or Discharging Operations, Lighterage or Transhipment, Explosion, Bursting of Boilers, Breakage of Shafts, and accidents to Machinery or Appurtenances thereto, any defect in Hull, Machinery or Appurtenances, unseaworthiness of the Steamer (whether existing at the time of shipments or afterwards), Collisions, Stranding, Straining, Perils of the Seas, Rivers, Canals, Harbours, Docks, or other Waters, nor for any loss, damage or delay, whether arising from any of the perils or causes hereinbefore mentioned, or from any other perils or causes whatsoever even though the perils or causes of loss, damage or delay, whether arising from any of the perils or causes hereinbefore mentioned, or from any other perils or causes whatsoever even though the perils or causes of loss, damage or delay result from the act, neglect, default or er…
