J. L. P. IX Provincial Chapter of the Anglo-Subermin Province of St Josephs. Held in St Josephs Retreat - Highgate Hill - London - R. In accordance with the circular letter of the Very Rev. H. Rephorsus, Provincial, dated March 19th 1881, consisting, with the consent of the Most Rev. H. General, the IX Provincial Chapter, prescribing the usual devotions, and appointing the 24th of June as the date thereof, and the Retreat of St Josephs, Highgate, as the place to hold the same - the Capitular Lathers assembled in the above named Retreat on Monday the 20th Inst. The Most Rev. H. General who came from Some to preside at the Chapter, being abreadu in the Retreat. There were also present the Lathers of St Mungo's Glasgow, and St Josephs Paris, called to give an account of their respective Houses. All assisted at the usual Initium.

On the morning of Tuesday the 21st was held the of Selectionary meeting. The World Rev. H. General Presiding. The Very Rev. H. Fithers was appointed provisional Secretary for the Selectionary Meetings. I Meeting. The Fathers assembled at 10 oc. A.M. The Superiors and Rectors read their financial Statements, and handed in the Other Capitular documents viz. the Inventories, the Certificate of the due celebration of Masses, and of the faithful Receiping of the Rechievism; and their Eagellis and Leds of Office. The Very Rev. H. Kneelm & Dominic were appointed to examine the jes. and Other documents. Afterwards the assembled Fathers, each in turn proposed those matters which were to form the subject of subsequent deliberation for the good of the Province. The meeting aboard at 12 oc. with the usual prayers. II Meeting. The Fathers assembled in the Chapter Room at

B.R. 1/ At this meeting all the Doctors and Superiors gave an account of the state of their respective houses, and stated the wants of each. 2/ The Fathers underinnously agreed to a proposal made by the Most Rev. Dr. General that £20 a year be paid by this Province for each student sent to Rome for his education, and that after their ordination as Prist this sum be reduced to £10 a year. 3/ The Regulations for Resirous recently prepared were read by the Univ Rev. Dr. Rephonseus, as far as Chap. III, when the Meeting closed at 4 P.M. III Meeting. The Fathers assembled at 4.30. vc. P.M. on June 22nd - The meeting commenced by all present taking the usual oath de secorto sorsando. After this all the Superiors gave an account of the Numbers of the Communities. The Meeting closed at 12 vc. P.M.
