The Convention of the Ancient Order of Hibernians was held at their Headquarters, 211 East 45th Street, on Friday Evening, January 30th, 1914, Mr. Thomas Kelly presided. The Convention was largely attended, 150 Delegates being present. It was the first unanimous meeting that has ever been held with the object of organizing and arranging and electing Officers for the coming St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Tuesday, March 17th, 1914. The following Officers were elected : Major EUGENE J. FLOOD, Grand Marshal MICHAEL J. BROWN, Representing Bronx, First Aide PATRICK J. KERRIGAN, Second Aide RODERICK J. KENNEDY, Chairman Committee of Arrangements THOMAS P. O'GARA, Secretary of Arrangements JOHN McADAMS, Chairman Reception Committee JOHN J. TIBRNAN, Floor Manager Assistant Floor Managers JOHN J. KIRWAN WILLIAM D. KELLAND PATRICK REARDON who, with the County Officers, constitute the entire Committee of Arrangements. The line of March for the St. Patrick's Day Parade will be as follows : 42d Street and Fifth Avenue North to 120th Street, East on 120th Street to Madison Ave., North on Madison Ave to 126th Street, East on 126th Street to Sulzer's Harlem River Casino, where a Reception and Ball will be held. It is hoped that all Irish Organizations and Friends of the Irish cause will participate in the Ball, which will be the most elite ever given by the Ancient Order. All Irish Organizations, societies, cadets and school children wishing to participate in the parade, by communicating with the Chairman of the Committee of Arrangements, 211 East 45th Street, New York, will receive prompt attention and be assigned to position in the procession.
