28 Saman, 1942. My dear Fr. Senan, A sort of panic seized me when I read your card of 19 inst. which accompanied proof: to be asked to say in public what you think of a friend is not always easy, & there is always the danger that you may blunder more extravagantly than usual. There I go & write "you" when I should have used "one". The enclosed type-script may not be the kind of thing you require at all, it may be either too long or too short for it is halfway between your limits, about 1650 words; & I ask you to shorten, expand, change, amend &c. what I send just as you please. Ultach's article is a magnificent contribution. All best wishes, Yours very sincerely, + D. Magean.

Jany 6th., 1943. A Chara, In reply to yours of to-day, if you will kindly send me the proof of the article upon the partitioned six Counties, I shall probably give you my opinion upon it-for what it is worth. I should like to be in a position to read the article for my colleagues (in confidence) and discuss with them the draft of my reply. I hope, therefore, you will not require the copy much before 7th Feb. Your 1942 issue was a very creditable product, from every aspect, and newspaper men at Brixton, who were gathered from many countries, were surprised at its excellence in these stringent days. Yours truly, Cahis Healy Rev Tather Senan, O.F.M., Cap., Dublin.

62, Eglantine Avenue, BELFAST. December 8th, 1 9 4 2 Dear Father Senan: Thank you for your letter of December 7th. Yes, I shall be glad to write a short commentary of about a thousand words, as you suggest, in the forthcoming symposium, and I shall look forward to seeing the proofs shortly. I note you are unable to use my "Age of Unreason", which I forwarded to you as much for interest as any belief it would be useful in its present form. Perhaps you could send it back to me here. Or, if more convenient, I hope to be in Dublin next week and could call for it. With best wishes, Yours sincerely,
