16 June, 1927 THE HERALD CABRAGH THURS. 2022-11-26/20 My dear F. Prior, I received the enclosed letter this morning. The offer of the young man looks promising. You need a respectable young man speaking English. He comes of a high class family financially depressed. I suggest that you invite him to call on you at Glenstal for a personal interview. If you approve of him, ask him to give references, whom you can consult by letter. The Archbishop goes to Maynoth this evening. I discussed with him the subject of your letter. He will make enquiries of the President. Some one suitable triviling to help you may be found among the 40 neo-sacerdotes of Sunday next. I am in receipt of a kind letter of thanks re Glenstal from the Abbot Primate, which I appreciate & another from your Abbot also very kind & cordial. Before my departure for Louvain on 22nd (wednesday next) I cannot see you.

I am very pressed with work - accounts &c - long due for settlement, & I feel fatigued. The Barrington furniture to meet stems over till I come back. I have written to the message of the members & L. Bank, Leissrick to give you all the money you need till I return. I shall meet your abot at Louvain & explain matters to him. I have written to Sir Barrington. He may give the furniture gratis. Hence, I delay settlement with McKenzie. You will receive the evidence on Technical Schools &c, of my friend Mr Butler, to be kept for Consultation. P. S. Inquitioned to you that the Countess of Byrne Corille & Jamely, friends of mine, desire to see Glenstal while the Rhododendrous are in bloom. Iregret I shall not be there to serve them. They will advise you of their visit In this Country it is usual to serve tea cake & bread & butter to such visitors between 4.30 & 5.30m I ohamma will know what todo. Iregret Lady B's parlour is not ready to receive such visitors. Count o'Kelly Brussells is nephew of Count of Byrne whose mother was doughter of Baron Von Hiebner Austrian Ambassador, Rame who saved Puis IX in flight to Gaetian I.T.R
