7/3/22/3 Decrees of 21th Provincial Chapter of the Anglo- Sibernian Province of St Joseph of the Congregation of the Most Holy Cross and Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ held in St Anne's Retreat Lutton, June 10th - 15th, 1917. The following decrees and recommendations were read and approved: 1. That the Provincial and his Consultors be instructed to obtain if possible permission for a foundation as an Illuminate in some part of Ireland where we have no house at present. In case of failure the Archbishop of Dublin should be approached with a request for a new foundation in his diocese. If he should refuse a suitable house should be erected on the grounds of St. Argus, particulars being left to Pr Provincial and his Consultors In view of the fact that the matter does not admit of delay the requisite steps should be taken at once. 2. Considering that the Professed religious in our Novitiate are not properly housed the Capitular Pathers order that plans for new buildings including accomodation for the Professed and Novices and a suitable Church should be prepared, the portion of the plans providing accomodation for the Professed to be carried out before next Chapter. Measures should be taken at once to provide a sufficient supply of water for said Retreat. 3. The Superiors Missioners and Confessors are earnestly exhorted to interest themselves in procuring suitable subjects for the Illuminate and Novitiate 4. Recognising the wisdom and necessity of
