Father, A few weeks ago one of your priests visited the North Moraistry which I attend and I was very struck by his words. I have always cheerished the idea of one day being a priest. I am 17 years of age and I am studying for Matriculation in June. I am sure that I fulfill all the conditions required. My parents are poor. I am from Bantry but I stay in Cork with friends and so I have the opportunity of a secondary education which otherwise I could not hope for. I can furnish the best references.
