THE TIDINGS New Parish Residence For Capuchin Fathers His Excellency, Most Rev. John J. Cantwell, D. D., will dedicate the new residence of the Capuchin Franciscan Fathers, St. Francis of Assisi parish, located on Golden Gate avenue, on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a. m. The celebration of the Titular Feast of the parish St. Francis of Assisi will be observed on the same day. Solemn High Mass will be celebrated at 11:30, at which His Excellency will preside and preach. The celebrant of the Mass will be Very Rev. Msgr. Raphael Fuhr, pastor of St. Michael's parish. This new home of the Capuchin Fathers has been designed and supervised by the very efficient and able architect, Mr. Lawrence D. Viole, who has adhered to the old Spanish style throughout, in conformity with the California. It is no exaggeration to state, that in usefulness and artistic beauty, this rectory is second to none in the diocese, and effects the highest credit on Mr. Viole.
