Points of Meditation on the Eternal Truths. 1. O Christian! thou hast but one soul; if that be lost, all is lost; there is but one death; if bad all is bad. 2. Thou hast only one Judge, from Him there is no appeal. 3. Thou hast only one sentence to hear; it will be either "Come ye blessed," or "depart ye cursed." 4. Thou hast but one eternity awaiting thee; if this be not happy, then thou shalt be unhappy forever. 5. There is but one Heaven; excluded from this, Hell will be thy inevitable doom. Indulgences 1. An indulgence for 200 days is granted for each exercise attended. 2. A Plenary indulgence is granted to those who attend at least one exercise a day. 3. A Plenary indulgence is granted in the form of the Papal Blessing at the close, to all who have attended at least one exercise a day for five days, who have worthily received the Sacrament of Penance and the Holy Eucharist, and who unite at the close, in saying some prayers for the Holy Father's intentions. All who attend the Mission should be present at the close, when the Papal Blessing is given. Religious Articles Books of Instruction and Devotion, Beads, Crucifixes, Scapulars, etc., may be procured during the Mission. Blessings of Religious Articles every evening after Benediction, except Monday evenings, and every morning after the 8 o'clock sermon, except Monday mornings. Father Joseph, Irish Capuchin Father of Dublin Hours of Service On Sunday Masses at usual hour—8:00 and 10:30. On Week Days First Mission Mass at 6:00 o'clock. Second Mission Mass at 8:00 o'clock. Sermons Short instruction after Mission Masses. Rosary, Sermon and Benediction at 7:45 in the evening. Hours of Confession: After Mission Mass and at 3:30 to 6:00 p. m.; after evening sermon until 10:30 p. m. OBJECT The object of the Mission is to offer extraordinary opportunities for hearing the Word of God and for worthily receiving the Sacraments. The Church enriches with special graces those who make the Mission well; and we should all earnestly pray to God that not one member of the parish may fail to profit by this season of grace. In the words of St. Paul: "We exhort you that you receive not the grace of God in vain. For he saith: In an accepted time I have heard thee; and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold now is the acceptable time; behold now is the day of salvation." The Mission is for non-Catholics as well as for Catholics. Bring your non-Catholic friends with you to the Mission. HOW TO PROFIT BY THE MISSION What Should Be Done Before the Mission We should be firmly persuaded that the grace of a Mission is one of the greatest favors which God bestows on a parish.
