Memorandum of Agreement made and latered into this 17th day of August 1895 between Stephen Lalor of Walkin Street in the City of Kilhenry Builder hereinafter called The Builder of the one part and The Very Reverend Father, Fidelis U.S.F.C. Guardian Capachin Convent Walkin Street Kilhenry hereinafter called the Employer of the other part Witnesseth as follows: 1. That the said Builder hereby proposes to and agrees with the said Employer that in consideration of the sum of £3,000.10: 3 to be paid to him in manner hereinafter provided he will exect build and completely finish the works in the proposed additions and alterations to the Convent and Chapel of the Capachin Fathers at Walkin Street Kilhenry aforesaid according to the General conditions hereinafter contained and to the Specification and drawings prepared by Samuel F. Hynes (hereinafter called the Architect) and respectively signed by both the parties hereto either before or at the execution hereof. 2. That the whole of the works are to be carried out and executed by him in a substantial and most workman like manner and in all respects to the entire satisfaction of and under the direction and superintendence of the said Architect to be testified in writing by him and who is hereby appointed to act as Architect and Surveyor of the said works. 3. That the said works and buildings are to be commenced for the with immediately after the Order is given and same are to be under the care of the Builder during the progress thereof and he shall learn the works in perfect and complete Order fit for use and occupation and have all the surplus material and nobish removed from off the
