Declining an invitation "(Mrs.Croker) is much obliged...and begs me to assure you that no matter of idle ceremony prevents her from accepting it, but not having a carriage...." He jokes about "that culprit, my old friend William" being "turned off" and describes him as "the unfortunate sufferer to be". With portrait engraving. 12/6.
