Willa Guillary. Aite. May 15th My dear Dr. Hyde We have been changing our house (to take effect in September) and the avalanche of books nearly entirely me me. But to return to our muttons. That an interesting and impressive book might be made on Western is certain. The question is whether M2 P. can make it, and this question I must refer altogether to you as I have none of the materials to determine it. There might be a chapter on Western before the plantation. A chapter on the plantation A Prefactor Clargaman whose name I think is M2 Donald Donald has written the best and fairest account of chat transaction A chapter on the rising of Western written in the expirit in which Davis has written the Patriot Parliament of do not believe chat any race of excelled men would have refrained from this attempt to regain the lands recently taken away from them, and the attempt was begun without bloodshed. I have said what I believe to be the truth truth on the subject in the introduction to the Patriot Parliament which M2 P. might to read and consider. Then a chapter or two on qs. It would be a prity to stop at several qs. The subsequent history of Western is memorable down to the union of Pace by American ministers and Catholic priests in the movement for Tenant Rights in 1850. M2 M2 frath of United Ireland indicated such a book, but has apparently given up the idea of it. M2 American is endangering the Library by a contact with Dr. Tod Hunter over expressing and prefits and he is altogether too greedy. He has greatly embarrassed me in carrying on the Library by stopping the original exption of giving L2 to, to each writer on the publication of his book in prepayment of one penny a copy on each volume sold. He now pays nothing on the first 3000, and the royalty after that number only when it is owned. We can only offer M2 Progress the royalty on all copies after 3000. If there were portraits they can be produced in photogramme at about 10 for each, but M2 American will not pay for them. He is bringing out an illustrated edition of Young Ireland, and I have agreed to pay for all illustrations in order to avoid a sordid contact with him. M2 P. may not be dispreced to do so. It would be next year before there would be a vacancy for the volume if it be undertaken I have just sold with the Library volume. Thanks. Very fairly fully Yours
