Capuchin Franciscan Fathers OUR LADY OF ANGELS 1345 CORTEZ AVENUE BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA April 24th 1937 My Dear Dr. Provincial! I am forwarding for three copies of "The Monitor" in which I was able to have inserted notice about our New Archbishop. Thinking one the metter, I neatly that you will probably be under great expense conserving his consecration and am therefore enclosing Cheque $10000 in addition to the $5000 I sent for last week. We are very busy preparing for our annual Fair which will take place on May 6th & 8th. If we do as well as I expect, we shall be able to reduce our debt to $5,90000. The new incumbent here will have a soft job as we have reduced our debt of $115,00000 on which we had to say interest at 600 to $5,90000 now at 400. I am getting everything in as far as I can before I finally bid adieur for me to U.S.A. I am counting the days until I reach the Fld Land where to lay my old homes. Drs. Joseph Adrian & I have arranged to sail from New York on Georgia on July 10th. Hope to print you as well as I evidently hope. Every kindness getting from you is deeply truly yours, Dr. Thomas
