PHONE OLYMPIA 1305 11-9-49 My dear Salter Coleman: I am acknowledging receipt of your letter with enclosures concerning the dispensation for Matthew Prosper. I am notifying Mr. Sabatean, Matthew leaves tomorrow morning for the mountain. You will realize how difficult the Vocation problem is when I tell you that the tract bishop of his sangles will not allow the Religious orders to talk Vocations in the Schools of the tract divine. At the moment we have only seen boys in Sheltzig. - Breading all the rest are say boys. I took the Resempt re. Santa Juay to the tract bishop yesterday. From his attendee I doubt if we will even be able to mild at Santa Juay. He very thought of a Religious order having a freedom - or any thing that would exempt it from the custody of the ordinary seems abhorrent to him. I understand that tract bishop Opellman is at longer heads with the franciscans in New York over the matter. and of course that does not help us.
