Provincial: Knowing your kind and paternal interest in the welfare of the mission work of the Fathers of the Province, I deemed it advisable to submit to you some details in regard to our location in the middle west; viz., Lincoln, Nebraska. We got through with our new building in much better condition than I anticipated, even though it left us pretty much in debt. We want to thank you for the extra help you have given us. It surely is a relief. We have been occupying our new building since before Christmas and everybody is pleased with it. We expect our new school to commence in September next. Five sisters are already engaged and just now we are making arrangements for desks, etc., so that everything will be ready for the new pastor as soon as he arrives after the chapter. The Articles of Incorporation which we enclose may need a word of explanation. We could not have procured a loan for the building without incorporating. The option was, incorporate into the Diocese or do as we have done. The state laws of Nebraska demand that the head of the religious organization covering at least three counties be the head of the religious corporation, with two subordinate members and two secular members. As we have arranged it everything is in accordance with the State Statutes. The Articles provide for all changes. I am glad to say that all the members of our community are well and working hard.
