Provincial: I got orders from the Bishop this week to proceed with the Lincoln Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Eucharistic Congress. I have been organizer for the Diocese for the past year. I wired Father Joseph. He replied immediately, granting permission; but he instructed me to write you immediately. I have, as organizer, a free round trip from here. While I write this I am not sure if I can have my Passport renewed in this short time. Should it happen that I can not do so you will understand my not arriving in Ireland. Our Pilgrimage leaves Chicago June eleventh via Washington, D. C., leaving New York in the afternoon of June 12th. and arriving in Dublin Bay June 22nd. I hope this procedure on my part will meet your approval. I had no intention of returning to the Congress had not the occasion presented itself as it did. All the Fathers in Lincoln are well and send their greetings. I remain yours obediently in J. C. & St. Francis,
