Letter from Fr. Luke Sheehan
Letter from Fr. Luke Sheehan OFM Cap., Bend, Oregon, affirming that Mother Xavier (the Superior of the Sisters of St. Joseph) is expected to arrive in Bend around the 26th and will stay for six weeks to oversee local arrangements. Father Luke mentions he is currently waiting for the Bishop to ‘draw up some terms for hospital arrangements’, which likely refers to the contract for the Sisters of St. Joseph to run the local hospital.
