The Archbishop wrote me asking me to recompare there to Portland & remain with them some time in Roselung. I shall grouse as so. I had a letter yesterday from Bishop Reilly asking me to request you to send a priest to remain permanently at boom. Spring. He sent Father head S. P. to visit there & the Bishop says to his reports that a priest is requested there I had not an opportunity to visit W. Young myself earlier in the year. In the 1st partly the year I was kept way moving about finding out the white Catholics & these locations. In the summer these people move away fishing sheets. Just a I was ready to start I was informed that the heads was visiting there and that in spite of the fact that I hold the Bishop of my interest. I did not try it. In answer to the Bishop. I wrote. I am just writing to the Protestant and I shall convey to your Lordship's desire asking for a priest to reside permanently at W. S. P. I degree to our Lordship did not send me some data or which I could and my the plea from a conversation which I had with the heads & Romain I anderstood there were just a few scattered & dear Catholics at W. Young's Reservation. In Thomas & Peter Likewis wrote me that the ketchan told them that a few visit a year would be sufficient. I just tell your Lordship these facts so that you may know my position. By the way the Bishop says the Peter promised a priest for the place. I don't think I can visit the place much before money and I don't know anything about it unless what I heard unless there were some conversation to make there year a priest would go enough with the present number.
