He also refers to the growth of the newly established ‘College project’ in Mendocino County reporting optimistic updates that several pupils are currently enrolled and six additional applications have already been received for the upcoming term in the New Year. Father Leo concludes by noting that fellow priests Father Isidore and Father Damian are pleased with the location and the work, expressing strong confidence in the institution’s future success.

8/1/24 St. Anthony's Mission MENDOCINO, CALIF. Christmas, 1924. Very Reverend F. P. Eter. Dear Father, I received a letter today from F. Stawislaus, wondering why I did not acknowledge the $80.00 you sent to me from Albottstown. I received the money safely and acknowledged it nearly six weeks ago, but evidently the letter must have gone astray. You gave me an altogether $200.00 which I hopely 25 Dec 1924 acknowledge. The Boddage project is going on very well, thanks God. I have a few papers now, and have received already, six more applications for the term beginning on the New Year. The fathers, F. Indore & F. Damen like the place and the work, and everything so far seems to point to success. It is thing you & all at home every Christmas happiness. Sincerely & friendlyly my Christ & St. Francis. F. Lee.
