Franciscan Capuchin Hiary Box 38 Matts, California Feb. 10th. 19 25 My dear Fr Pro/ I have just received a phone message from the Hospital, saying that Fr Albert is failing fast and takes very little food now. The Sister says he may drop off rather suddenly, and I am prepared to hear of his death at any moment. I am preparing for Confirmation here on next Tuesday. I will run up perhaps this week to see him, if not early next week. Fr Dominic is there at present, and although I considered it wiser for him to go to Santa Ynez, and come in now and again to see him, he writes today to say that if he tells Albert this it will kill him. I will see what is best to be done when I go up. Fr Sebastian is raising the $1000 for the Extension Society for me, and I am paying the interest. This is the best way out of the difficulty. I have no further news just now, only that I had Br. Seraphim here for a couple of days. He had some trouble with the roof of his mouth. He got it scraped. Whatever may result therefrom, I don't know. I hope it won't develop into anything serious. Gabriel has had a cold for some time. It is better just now.
