Pro/ Just a line to say that I have sent Fr Stephen to Santa Ynez to take charge and do Albert's work for the present. He is the only one I have at present to go there, although we will require him very shortly or some other father for the masses or the missions. But I will call upon Reginald to help us out here when we are away on the missions. I am preaching the 40ths, opening next Sunday in Holy Name farish in the City. I will go up to see after the business in Bend. I shall be engaged giving a weeks mission here in Watts opening Sexagesima Sunday, then I have two weeks in Taft in Lent, and two weeks with Fr Gabriel in the Cathedral in Sacramento. We can take on no more missions for Lent. We are having Confirmations here in February. The children are putting on a Christmas Play in the School Auditorium next Sunday and Monday evenings. It will be a fine thing. The School is in full swing again after Xmas. I put in Radiators in each Room, and the Nuns are now very comfortable. The nights here are very cold and frosty for the past month or so. I have fenced in the old St Lawrence Hall, and given it to the Sisters, as I had no further immediate use for it. We utilise the School for all Parties now. Besides we expect a couple of extra Sisters this Summer, as the present rooms are overcrowded. I have'nt heard since last Monday how Fr Albert is, I presume he is much the same. Fr Finbarr has been up seeing his cousins in San Francisco this week. Gabriel and self are well. Hoping you continue quite well.
