Nativity Church 653 W. Thirty-Seventh St. Chicago, March 13 1910 Very Prev Father Peter: From letter enquiring about draft- rent - Just received. A few days before receipt of your letter in looking over some papers in my death I came across & rather jeculear looking enveloped and examining it it of this covered it has never been opened. It was your letter with draft - for 20 pounds. I immediately and with Father House in care of Bristol C Reelly. I had never seen the letter before. Being a regressed letter. The house-keeper placed it in the drawer in my absence from home where it was and tell this covered as above described. At the time it came I was out of home for a few days at the house-keeper this as she does generally with all regards, especial debueing letters &c. but it is a way for rafe keeping - The failer to notify me and I not noticing it it felt mixed up with other papers, and so was and there till a few days ago. Had the Fathers asked me anything about it I would have made a reach and engaged but but they didn't even hint that they expected it. Perhaps the reason they didn't ask about it was that I had a man her of letters fast a way carefully for them. and not finding the one with draft - Concluded it had not come - an every sorry of they were just to anger an anxiousness on account of the accident, but I wish they will be able to enjoy it all the more for the Alas Fraternals - Yours Jas J.
