Thomas Dowling, O.M.Cap. 134 Cortez Burlingame, California Dear Father Thomas: I have received an answer from Father Mc Fadden, S.J. and he states, that they will be pleased to have a member of some other Order give the Clergy Retreat for the Diocese of Monterey-Fresno Clerge, at their Retreat House. This Retreat will begin on Monday night, September 16, 1935. It will be in two sections; the first section will end Friday night, September 20th; the second section will begin on Monday, September 23 and end the following Friday. May his Excellency, therefore, have the pleasure of hearing, that you will be able to preach this Retreat? With every best wish, I am, Sincerely yours in Christ, JHC:SY 10-Ret.
