Αρμη Caputineac, Sain bónabenzúir, Copcaig. ST BONAVENTURE'S, CAPUCHIN HOSTEL, CORK. Dec. 19th 1931 My Dear To Joseph, I am writing this note to ask you if it is possible to get some mass shipends for the priests on the African Mission. The number of shipends from Ireland will be of very little value now to the depreciation of Stating. S. Africa is still on the jobs standard and will do to remain so. I sent a cheque for £800 some time ago and it only realised £650. So you see the best difficulty in making. The young me in Africa have made great sacrifices and it is up to the rest of us to bring and help them out as far as possible. I will be writing by my agent about the end of January about the Sacrifice mass association. Will you communcele this note to any home in America which you think can help facilitate yours. D Edwin
