PHONE HOLLY OAK 2981 CAPUCHIN FRANCISCAN FATHERS SILVERSIDE ROAD, R 3 WILMINGTON - DELAWARE September 6th. 1941 My dear Father Colman, I received a letter this morning from Father Stephen informing me that you have delegated me or any Father of the Community if I am impeded, to receive the Profession of the two Novices - Brothers Walter and John. He also said in this letter that he was writing to you to cable permission to me to receive Cornelius C. Kelly. I now wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter yesterday granting all the necessary delegation for the Reception of Cornelius C. Kelly and the profession of the two Novices. I have already sent you through Fr. Stephen the result of the final Votation for the Novices. They were unanimously approved as being worthy of Profession. The Novices themselves have also sent you letters through Fr. Stephen. I just received this morning the Special Form of Petition which the Novices should use. I will have the Novices send you the Special Form of Petition in a day or two. I also received a Form of the Declaration to be made before Solemn Profession. I have made Brother Austin who was solemnly professed on June 19th. made the Declaration under oath as contained in the Instruction of the S. Congregation of Religious (1931). The sworn Declaration is inscribed in the Book of Professions. Thanking you for your kind letter which relieved me of anxiety about the required delegation being here on time. Everything here is going along well and satisfactorily. I sincerely hope that you are all well and happy in Ireland. With every good wish, I am My dear Fr.
