Chancery Office 514 South 18th St. Phone B-2180 Diocese Lincoln Bishop's Res. 28th and Bryant Sts. Phone F-2447 of Lincoln, Nebraska September 23, 1937 Rev. Ephrem O'Sullivan, C.M.Cap. 3102 S Street Lincoln, Nebraska Dear Father O'Sullivan: You already know the decision which was arrived at after my interview with Father Steph- en. He came with instructions from your headquarters to arrange for the withdrawal of the Capuchins from Lincoln. It will take some time before a formal release can be obtained from the Holy See. Meanwhile, you will please continue to serve the Sacred Heart parish. Owing to the fact that the temporalities of that congrega- tion are in such an acute state of affairs, we have appoint- ed Fathers Helmann and Kealy to try to work out a plan for refinancing the parish debt. I know that you will give these two priests your earnest and wholehearted cooperation. Thanking you for your many kind- nesses to me, I am, LBK:MEC Sincerely yours,
