SIDE PARISH Two Weeks' Mission to Open March 5 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church An outstanding piece of news among Chicago churches this week was announcement that the Irish Capuchin Fathers had been secured to conduct a Jubilee Year Mission in Our Lady of Lourdes church beginning Sunday, March 5th and closing Sunday, March 19th. The pastor, the Rev. James M. Scanlan, LL.D., this week announced plans for the mission the first week of which will be for the women and the second for the men. The Very Rev. Benignus Brennan, O.M., Cap., superior of the Missions in the United States will be in charge and the Rev. C. Killian, A.M., O.M., Cap. a graduate of the National University of Ireland, will assist him. Both Fathers are noted for their learning and piety. The order is one of the most historic and learned in the Catholic Church. The pastor, Father Scanlan is anticipating a successful mission this year. The parishioners feel grateful to their men to conduct the mission. Our Lady of Lourdes parish located at North Ashland and Leland avenues welcomes all who wish to hear these eloquent preachers to attend the services of the mission.
