2023-06-02/597 ERNEST KEEGAN, SOLICITOR 37 ST. STEPHEN'S GREEN. DUBLIN, C.2. TELEPHONE 61722 EK/BW/F.290. 10th May, 1943. The Abbot, Benedictine Priory, Glenstal, CO. LIMERICK. Re: Francis Guest, Deceased. Dear Rev. Father, I act for the Executors of the Will of the above- named Deceased, who died on the 23rd January last, leaving assets to the total value of £360.0.0. By his Will the Deceased bequeathed a sum of £25 to the Parish Priest of Harrington Street Church in the City of Dublin for Masses to be celebrated in perpetuity for the repose of his soul and the soul of his deceased wife. The Parish Priest has declined to accept the bequest as he feels that his successors should not be tied to undertake such a task. The Commissioners of Charitable Donations & Bequests suggested to me that your Order might be prepared to undertake the bequest. Consequently, I would feel obliged if you would consider the matter, and if you are agreeable to accept the Legacy, I shall be happy to send you cheque in payment thereof. Yours faithfully,
