Dr. Thomas, O.S.F.C., who has many times crossed the Atlantic in White Star Line ships, was one of the large number who disembarked at Cove from the Baltic on Sunday morning last. Dr. Thomas has been, for the past six months, engaged at missionary work in the United States, and a number of friends were pleased on Sunday morning, as the tender on which they had journeyed out to the Baltic to greet him. to see him waving welcome to them as the tender was made fast, and to discover later that he was apparently in enjoyment of robust health. It was with some difficulty that a party of special friends, which included Rev. Brothers Aquin and Kiliann, of the Presentation College, Cove, and Miss Kileen, could penetrate the throng of fellow-voyagers who crowded round Father Thomas, as he is more popularly and affectionately known, on the Baltic's spacious promenade deck in order to shake his hand and wish him welcome. Travelling with Father Thomas on the Baltic Rev. Fr. Stanislaus, O.S.F.C., and Rev. Fr. Clement, O.S.F.C. All three left for Cork by motor after landing at the Deepwater Quay. EAST CORK TRAGEDY.
