THE PROPERTY DEFENCE ASSOCIATION. At a largely attended and very influential meeting of the Property Defence Association, held at the Leinster Hall, August 31st, the Society was placed on a permanent basis for three years from that date, and so organized as to carry on and extend its present work in all its old details and in some new branches. Within the last two months the agents of the Association attended 45 sheriff's sales of stock, and 109 sales of farms :—representing the interest in 450 tenancies. The Association has at present 120 men out as caretakers, as well as 160 employed in saving crops. 8, Westmoreland Street, Dublin, 31st August, 1881.
