2023-06-16/697 Johnston, Navas. 4th Feb. 1935. Very Rev. & Dear Father. In reply to your letter of requiry about Eyre W. Spurner my parishioner. He is a young boy of excellent character, unassuming manner & more than ordinary intelligence. He does not like the life of a secular Priest. He thinks his vocation is in Religious life. And I'm inclined to think he is right. Should you accept him & he persevere, he will make a very useful member of your Order. I see no reason why I should not recommend him highly to you.
