O'Reilly, Bishop of Baker City, U.S.A., and that we place his letter before the Most Rev. Fr. General with a view to its acceptance.(181) Dec. 1, 1909 - "That as the Most Rev. Fr. General has expressed himself in favour of the project of accepting Bishop O'Reilly's offer of a foundation in his Diocese of Baker City, Oregon in a letter dated Oct.17, 1909, in accordance with the instructions therein contained, we send two Fathers to inspect the place and report thereon. We further deem it advisable that before definitely accepting the proposed foundation the Fr. Provincial should visit the place. That an Obedience be asked from M.R.Fr. General for Fr. Thomas, Definitor and Fr. Luke to go to Oregon in view of above.(184) July 6, 1910 - "We have received with pleasure the announcement of Fr. General of his final acceptance on behalf of the Province (with Provincial the authority of M.R.Fr. General and the S.
