Custos Provincial. 1541 Golden Gate Avenue, Los Angeles, California. My dear Father Murtagh: THis wil acknowledge receipt of your letter of October 23, 1945. I take it that your Commissary General intends to make petition to the Holy See for the erection of the Religious House at Mc-Kenzie Bridge, within this Archdiocese, according to the prescript of Canon 497*I. You may take this letter as my written consent, given after due consultation with the Diocesen Consultors and after satisfying myself as to the need of this house and as to the manner in which the prescript of Canon 496 will be satisfied.
