The institution that you propose to open is, I fancy, in the nature of a school where young Americans can be trained into the spiritual and temporal necessities of the Capuchin Order. No great order can exist in this country if it has to rely entirely upon people coming from outside. The development of a native Priesthood is of paramount importance, and I think our non-Catholic friends say well as our Catholic people would have much sympathy with the development by you of an institution for the education of young American boys for your missionary activities.
