TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS— "LANDOWNERS, DUBLIN." The Irish Landowners' Convention. OFFICES—4 KILDARE STREET, DUBLIN, 6th January, 1893. Circular to Delegates, Supplemental Delegates, and Honorary Secretaries of Counties. DEAR SIR, The Annual Meeting of the Irish Landowners' Convention will be held (as intimated to you by post-card on 9th ult.) in the Leinster Lecture Hall, 35 Molesworth Street, Dublin, on Thursday and Friday, 26th and 27th January, 1893. The Chair will be taken on Thursday, 26th inst., at 12 o'clock, by His Grace 1 the Duke of Abercorn, K.G., President of the Convention. Delegates are requested to inform the Honorary Secretary of their county at an early date whether they will be able to attend the Convention on either or both of the dates named, so as to enable him to arrange for the attendance of the Supplemental Delegates in any cases where one or more of the Delegates may be unable to attend. A copy of the Report of the Executive Committee will be forwarded to you about the 21st inst. It will deal with a number of important matters affecting the interests of Irish landowners. I enclose a copy of the usual Form for proposing Candidates for election as Ex-officio or Elected Members of the Executive Committee for 1892-93. It should be returned to this office in time to reach me not later than the 16th inst. (vide Bye-Law 10). It will not be necessary to propose any of the Members of the outgoing Executive Committee. The names of the Elected Members of that Committee will appear on the Voting Paper under the provisions of Bye-Law 10; and the Co-opted Members will be, as heretofore, proposed and seconded by the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the outgoing Committee. The following gentlemen became Co-opted Members of the Committee during the past year:—Marquis of Londonderry, K.G., K.P.; Mr. Frank G. Watney; Earl of Arran, H.M.L.; Mr. W. E. Scott, D.L.; Lord Monteagle, K.P.; Lord Langford, D.L.; Major James H. Stronge; Mr. David Sherlock, D.L.; and Mr. Samuel M. Hussey. Notices of Motion intended to be printed on the Agenda paper should reach me not later than Wednesday, 25th January. Unionist Banquet.—A Committee is being formed for the purpose of entertaining the five Unionist Members of Parliament who captured Nationalist seats at the General Election at a Banquet, which will be held in the Round Room of the Rotunda, Dublin, on Thursday, 26th inst. The subscription to the Banquet will be one guinea, and tickets can be obtained from me. Over 100 leading Unionists from all parts of Ireland have already joined the Committee, and I am requested to state that the Committee will be glad to add to their number the names of any Delegates or Supplemental Delegates of the Irish Landowners' Convention who may intimate to me their willingness to join. In addition to one guinea for the Dinner Ticket each Member of the Dinner Committee is asked to guarantee a further sum not exceeding a guinea, towards the incidental expenses.
