Dear Capuchin Missionary Associate, This Christmas message comes to you from Old Mission Santa Inés, founded by the Franciscan padres in 1804. The padres came to bring the Good News of Christianity from Mexico to California. And now, thanks to your prayers and financial cooperation, the Capuchin padres are bringing the Gospel of Christ back to Mexico from California. In this Christmas photo, behind me is Christ in the tabernacle. The teenager, Santa Inés, is above me in her niche over the altar. The Franciscan arms on the front of the altar - the hands of Jesus and Francis surrounded by a Franciscan cord - are reaching out to touch you in gratitude for your goodness to our Capuchin Missionaries in Yécora. Without you, those new chapels would not have been built. Without you, our new proposed house of studies will not be built in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
