Cap., pastor of St. Francis of Assisi church, who will assist at the Triennial Provincial Chapter of the Capuchins in Dublin this summer. Altadena Girl Given Music Certificate ALTADENA, May 25.—Mary Reid, harpist, was present in the junior certificate in the Holy Name School of Altadena, Sunday afternoon, Miss Reid was assisted by Marion Weak- Capuchin Head to Visit Ireland For Triennial Chapter Very Rev. Joseph Fenelon, O.M. Cap., Custos General of the Capuchin order, Superior of the Irish Province and pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish, Los Angeles, is about to visit Ireland to assist at the Triennial Provincial Chapter there. Father Joseph has, during the past nine years, been Provincial of the fifteen Houses in the United States. In this time the Order has added five Foundations in this country, three in the diocese of Los Angeles and San Diego, one in Santos, Delaware. The sessions of the Provincial Chapter will be held in the Capuchin House, Church street, Dublin. Father Joseph has been pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish for two years, or since that parish was placed in charge of his Order. In these two years, ably assisted by Rev. Ambrose Brunton, O.M. Cap., and Rev. Enda Delaney, O.M. Cap., Father Joseph has enlarged and decorated the church which has in fact been transformed into one of the prettiest little churches in the city. The parish has also a nice hall for social gatherings and all parish societies are active in their cooperation with the work of their pastors. A new project which is receiving the joint attention of Father Joseph and his assistants is the erection of a parish school. This has been promised for the near future. Vacation School District Meeting At Riverside RIVERSIDE, May 25.—An enthusiastic meeting for the organization of the Daily Vacation schools in the Riverside-San Bernardino district was held in Riverside Tuesday, May 19. Rev. Michael Carville, pastor of St. Francis de Sales parish, Riverside, and director of Vacation Schools for Riverside county, presided. Rev. Patrick Dunne welcomed the delegates and congratulated them on the number present. Rev. Michael Sheahan, pastor of St. Clare's parish, Oxnard, and director of Vacation Schools for Ventura county, touched the hearts of those present in speaking of the value of a soul in God's sight. He appealed to the laity to help in missing God's little ones. Miss Verona Spellmire and Miss Blanch Vignos of Los Angeles gave practical talks on organizations and the use of handwork in Vacation Schools. Guests from Los Angeles and Riverside, Corona, Banning, Beaumont, Arlington, Casa Blanca, Colton, San Bernardino, San Jacinto, Ontario, Redlands and Chino numbered over 100.
