Cap. 3108 S Street, Lincoln, Nebraska The International Eucharistic Congress at Dublin in June, 1932, coinciding with the Fifteenth Centenary of St. Patrick's coming to Ireland, promises to be the most outstanding religious event of our time. Entire Bookings: We have arranged for the entire bookings of the well-known Cabin Liner the SS. "DRESDEN" of the North German Lloyd. This fine ship is extremely popular with Ocean Travelers and noted for her splendid cuisine and service, thereby insuring ideal conditions for the trip to the great Congress. Our Right Reverend Bishop is keenly interested in the Congress at Dublin, and has, in the following letter appointed Father Quinn to act as Official Diocesan Organizer: CHANCERY OFFICE 1408-11 SHARP BLDG. TELEPHONE B-2180 BISHOP'S RESIDENCE 28TH AND BRYANT STS. TELEPHONE F-2447 DIOCESE OF LINCOLN LINCOLN, NEBRASKA December 22, 1931 Rev. Raphael Quinn, O. M. Cap. 3108 S. Street Lincoln, Nebraska. Dear Father Quinn: We are receiving inquiries from various sources in the matter of the International Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin. It will expedite matters if we have a Diocesan Director of the Eucharistic Congress tours. I hereby appoint you as our official representative, and all matters relating to the Congress will be hereafter referred to you. A pilgrimage to the Congress is now being organized by the Fathers of the Society of St. Columban, Nebraska. I am sure that they will be grateful to you if you will act as a promoter in behalf of their arrangements. We entertain the hope that many of our clergy and laity will be able to take advantage of the many tours that are now being arranged at a reasonable rate to the International Eucharistic Congress. Sincerely yours in Christ, + LOUIS B. KUCERA Bishop of Lincoln Itinerary: Leave New York Sunday evening, June 12. Arrive in Dublin, Wednesday morning, June 22. Stay over on Liner in Dublin Bay during Congress. Return direct to New York on "DRESDEN" Monday morning., June 27, or board "DRESDEN" at Cobh same evening, or sail ANY TIME UP TO JULY 31 from Galway, Cobh or Southampton on a North German Lloyd Ship (slight extra charge for Return on SS. "BERLIN"). Main Congress Pilgrimage Tour Rates Include: Tender Service—Several times daily between Liner and Dunleary Pier during Congress Days. Cooperation—Cooperation of St. Columban's Organization for pilgrims in Dublin during Congress days. Meals—All meals on board and Stateroom Berths during Congress. Banquet in the City on Sunday Night, June 26th. Pilgrims will be landed from Tender at Dunleary Pier each morning, and may go into the heart of the City or to Phoenix Park, etc., by Train, Tram, Bus or even Taxi at a slight cost for small parties…
