JOHN C. THOMPSON, B.E., B.ARCH., M.R.I.A.I., A.R.I.B.A., A.M.I.C.E.I. ARCHITECT - CIVIL ENGINEER. 65, O'CONNELL ST., LIMERICK. Tel. 279. 19 19th March, 1951. Dom Athanisius de Coninck, O.S.B., Glenstal Priory, Murroe, Co. Limerick. Dear Father Sub-Prior, Re: New Church I have your letter of the 16th inst., re the above. As usual, where the pressure of time is not very great, I have been rather slow with these drawings. However, I can now state that Mr. O'Reilly-Hyland, Quantity Surveyor, will have my drawings on the first week of April and the quantities will be completed by the end of April. This should leave us in the position to commence work on the foundations on the first week of June and work should be completed before the end of September. I am pleased to hear that Father Prior is doing so well and maybe when you are writing to him you would give him my regards and wish him continued success. Hoping you are very well. Yours sincerely, 2023-11-14/964

I was rather surprised by its contents. I always understood that you were pushing on the work and I did not wish to annoy you. Now I understand that I shall have to write often. The sooner we start the better. Do not forget that after the Church we have to-provide very necessary room for the school and for the monastery. I do not know where I shall be able to put the future post-lants. With best Easter wishes, yours very sincerely, (The same as the one above.) As usual, when filling out the drawings and seating the school and school drawings. However, I am now state that Mr. O'Rolly-Hyland Quantity Surveyor, will
