Scope and content

This photographic album documents Irish Capuchin missionaries, with a primary focus on their expansion across the United States. While the collection features a few images of early 1930s missions in Africa and friaries in Rochestown in County Cork, and the Capuchin foundation on Church Street in Dublin, the bulk of the prints depict the Order’s establishment in Oregon and California in the Western United States.
